LUSSEC 5: 2006 EJ67

Hello all,

I'm sorry to annouce the failure on recover 2-night object 2006 EJ67, which was discovered by Chi Sheng and me two weeks ago.

On March 28/29 and 29/30, the Lulin observer Ting Chang and me have been tried to recover the ~mag20.6 object, but because the object has passed the opposition point and, does not has a good orbit, we could not find it around 27'x27' of the nominal.

We had been hope the big surveies could picked it up in the past two weeks, but seems it's not bright enough to be picked up.

At the same time, I have a good news to annouce. Object 2006 EK67 is now a 4-night object, as Mt.Lemmon and ourselves have added two night more observations. The update orbit will appear on the next batch of Orbit Update (previously called News Update).

Best regards,

Quanzhi

Animation of 2006 FA at the discovery date

Hello all,

I cheerfully annouce the discovery of 2006 FA, the fifth discovery by Lulin Sky Survey. It's discovered on March 19 by Ting-Chang and Quanzhi.

The sky was not very good that night and the following night, but thanks to Ting-Chang, he kept on observing and so we can add one more to LUSS discoveries.

Ting-Chang and I also discovered another new object that night, quite unfortunately it turned out to be 2006 DJ192 -- an object only observed for two nights one month ago. So we would not receive anything from it.

Regards,

Quanzhi
